It's over for this time...

Today we went up to Vidablick which is a viewpoint just outside Rättvik with a great view of the Rättvik surroundings and lake Siljan. We had some fika as well.

We are in Rättvik to celebrate midsummer i good fashion. Linnea got her traditional Rättvik outfit out. It has been in the family for at least 100 years and been passed down generations.


Then we went over to see the Dalkarlia men raise the maypole. They have to push it up by "manual labour", it looks like hard work.


But they got the job done this year too :-) Then they Walked over to the next location to push up the next maypole.

A 2-2 score and England has still not beaten Sweden for 38 years. Now on to Germany....

Important game in the world cup today. Hopefully Sweden will grab at least a point from the match against England today and ensure a place in the round of last 16. I hope they don't wait as long as against Paraguay to score!

Hi again, It has been awhile since I updated here. All activities surrounding the wedding went perfect and I think everybody had a great time. Especially Beth and Lewis seemed to enjoy the weekend but also looked forward to their honeymoon in Thailand(we are still waiting on reports from the trip). I met lots of "new" family,cousins etc, on Sarah's side. You can see some of them in this picture.


This was also on Memorial Day weekend so there where lots of people in town for different celebrations. Especially many veterans on their motorcycles and at different memorials. Picture of the World War II memorial below.
